All applicants must present satisfactory evidence of sufficient competence to read, write, speak and understand spoken English. If you are from a non-English speaking country you are required to submit a TOEFL score unless you have received a degree from a U.S. University or a University in which courses were taught in English.

All applicants (except MFA) are required to submit GRE scores. Applicants must self-report their GRE score on the application AND request the official score be sent to the School of Liberal Arts Graduate Programs Office. Self-reported GRE scores in Verbal and Quantitative. (All applicants are also required to submit official GRE scores. They should direct ETS to send official GRE scores to Tulane's School of Liberal Arts.
