Applicants who can provide documentation verifying that their undergraduate degree is from an institution (in a country other than those listed above) where all instruction is in English are also exempt. For all others, a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required. Test scores are valid for two years and must be valid on the date the application is submitted. Note, the University of Washington Graduate School is phasing out acceptance of IELTS scores, and IELTS results with a test session date after November 1, 2016 will not be accepted.
