Valid, original Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Cambridge score report (if required).Unless you are an English speaker or have a degree from a university in an English-speaking country, (where the language of instruction was English) according to UK Visa and Immigration policy guidance you must submit evidence of proficiency in English. You should have scored at least 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 100 (Internet-based) on the TOEFL to be considered for the PhD programme.
Valid, original Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Cambridge score report (if required).Other recognised English language tests (IELTS, Cambridge) are also accepted. A valid test report (less than two years old) must be submitted to the Programme Office.

One of these tests is required from each applicant and the requirement cannot be waived.
